Hi , I’m Clare George

My Approach

It always starts with a thought - our thoughts are our power to choose differently.

My approach to any challenge in life begins with deep exploration, this innate wish to map the landscape, so I can see a pathway and build a plan… out of the chaos, away from the confusing complexity we all can face… to achieve transformation over time… change for good.

The River Bends of my Journey so Far

I'm deeply connected with how we nurture new beginnings, a seed, a life and create change for growth

Development is All

My life and career choices were initially inspired by a childhood immersed in nature, the outdoors, and my first degree in Psychology.

Solo adventures followed, exploring our world and its people; body and mind; volunteering and working with different cultures, across this earth from the Himalayas to the Amazon - gaining a love for diversity and a sense of awe at the ability of everyday people to achieve great things.

Adapt and Grow

Living and working in multiple countries, moving and change were the backdrop to my life. Years lived in Asia and the influence of eastern traditions added to the breadth and depth of my experience. Followed by a decade in the USA experiencing growth and change at a different pace.

Life & Health Makeovers

I became a mom and this expanded my sense of connection and love for humanity. My first big career change and ‘Life Makeover’, with my MSc in Social Program Development.

Just as I was poised to take my dream job in the USA at an NGO 14 years ago, I experienced the debilitating long term health condition of Chronic Lyme Disease, resulting in a major ‘Health Journey’ and readjustment of my life’s values.

Problems are also Opportunities

This life changing experience is the milemarker where my passion for health and personal growth truly took off and I developed the Health Habits I rely on to this day.

Finding Purpose

As an ‘Empty Nester’ with an open-road of options when the pandemic hit, I seized another life opportunity to pivot further into this space with a deep-dive into Life Coaching, Behavioural Science and my second Masters - MSc Health Psychology - changing our behaviour to change our health experience. My research focused around lifestyle health habits across the lifespan, in different social health settings.

Walking the walk

Professionally, I’m a graduate member of the British Psychological Society, Division of Coaching Psychology. I’ve coached and personally supported 6,000 people with their health and social care journeys. Identifying challenges for each and helping map so many different health landscapes and social contexts.

I’ve immersed myself as a practitioner to get into real-world health challenges for all of us: Older Adult health spans at a GP practice and 700 care visits as a professional carer. I’ve coached the NHS NDPP metabolic health change in mid-life and I’ve experienced health journeys in young people today when teaching P.E. and sexual health to teenagers.

Designing social change through building relationships, strategic partnerships and shared architecture for community development.

I persist and persevere in breaking down social complexity into simple daily habits that build happier and healthier lives for all people in The Health Habits Coach community and beyond.
